Na Františku Hospital is hosting a Public Health Day on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. The event will take place in the hospital’s outdoor grounds in downtown Prague. Visitors will have access to free preventive screenings, expert consultations, and practical demonstrations of a healthy lifestyle, all without an appointment. The program will feature performances by singers Monika Absolonová and Kate Matl. Activities for both children and adults will also be available.
Visitors will be able to have their blood pressure and blood sugar levels checked, undergo skin mole screenings, have their vision tested, get their blood type determined, have their body composition analyzed, or be screened for flat feet. Due to the high demand last year, the hospital has increased its capacity for preventive screenings this year. The program will also include consultations with specialists.
“Prevention is one of the most important tools of modern medicine. Many serious diseases can be treated more successfully or their progression significantly slowed if detected early. We want to show people that taking care of their health can be a natural part of life. That’s why we combine prevention with a pleasant atmosphere and an entertaining program that can help alleviate fears about medical exams,” said Lucie Krausová, spokesperson for Na Františku Hospital.
The event will also feature hands-on demonstrations of healthy exercise and preventive measures. Participants will have the opportunity to try Nordic walking under expert guidance, test their hand hygiene under a UV lamp, or try on simulation goggles that mimic the effects of alcohol.
Health Day will feature a cultural program and appearances by well-known personalities. Singers Monika Absolonová and Kate Matl will perform. Jiří Tkadlčík, two-time winner of the World’s Strongest Man competition and holder of several world records, will also be a guest at the event.
The program will also include activities such as face painting for children and makeup sessions with a professional makeup artist. Complimentary refreshments—including coffee, soft drinks, and ice cream—will be available for visitors.
Doctors and specialists from Na Františku Hospital and partner organizations will participate in Health Day. The event will also feature booths run by partners from the healthcare, social services, and nonprofit sectors. At 1:30 p.m., visitors will be welcomed by representatives of the management of Na Františku Hospital, the Prague 1 district, and the City of Prague.
Visitors can find the complete program on the Na Františku Hospital website.
