Personal Data Protection (GDPR)

In accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data (General Data Protection Regulation, GDPR), Nemocnice Na Františku has appointed a Data Protection Officer. This officer oversees compliance with personal data protection regulations and serves as the primary contact person for all questions concerning the processing of personal data and the exercise of data subjects' rights.

The tasks of the Data Protection Officer include:
  • Informing and advising controllers, processors, and employees who carry out processing operations about their obligations under the GDPR and other data protection regulations.
  • Monitoring compliance with the GDPR, other data protection regulations, and the data controller's or processor's policies regarding personal data protection, including the assignment of responsibilities, raising awareness, training personnel involved in processing operations, and related audits.
  • Providing advice upon request regarding data protection impact assessments and monitoring their implementation.
  • Cooperation with the supervisory authority (Office for Personal Data Protection).
  • Acting as the contact point for the supervisory authority on matters relating to the processing of personal data, including prior consultations under Article 36 of the GDPR, and, where appropriate, consulting on any other matter.
Data subjects have the right to contact the Data Protection Officer with any questions concerning the processing of their personal data and the exercise of their rights under the GDPR.
