Na Františku Hospital has begun administering COVID-19 vaccinations
Prague, January 7, 2021
Na Františku Hospital received its first 180 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine today and has begun vaccinating staff and patients. It will follow Phase 1A of the Ministry of Health’s vaccination plan. Among the first to be vaccinated will be healthcare workers caring for patients with COVID-19, as well as staff in intensive care units and emergency rooms. The vaccine is also primarily intended for staff in post-acute care units and elderly patients undergoing long-term hospitalization.
Vaccination involves very strict requirements for the transport and storage of vaccines. Hospitals must use prepared vaccine doses within five days at the latest. Vaccinations will therefore also take place on weekends.
