Since April, the Rehabilitation and Orthopedics Department at Na Františku Hospital has had new department heads. Meet Dr. Irena Koudelková and Dr. Miroslav Sinkul.

Dr. Irena Koudelková has returned to lead the rehabilitation department at NNF after nearly 15 years. This time, she heads the Department of Rehabilitation and Physical Medicine, which has been expanded to include an inpatient unit for follow-up rehabilitation care featuring modern electrotherapy and a team of dedicated colleagues, physical therapists, and nursing staff.
Dr. Koudelková would like to share the experience she has gained since the beginning of her career at the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine at FNKV, as well as from her time leading the rehabilitation department at the Institute of Rheumatology, her role as Prof. Kolář’s academic representative at the Second Faculty of Medicine of Charles University at Motol University Hospital, her long-term work assignment in the Middle East, and her many years of practice at Vršovice Hospital.

Dr. Miroslav Sinkule joined NNF in 2004. He initially served as deputy chief of the Department of Orthopedics and Traumatology of the Musculoskeletal System, and now holds the position of chief of the department. He gained his experience, among other places, at the Department of Orthopedics and Traumatology at Klaudiánova Hospital in Mladá Boleslav and during specialized internships abroad, for example in Germany and the United States. He also served as the team doctor for AC Sparta Prague and FK Mladá Boleslav, as well as the doctor for the men’s national basketball team.
In his orthopedic practice, he specializes primarily in joint replacement—hip, knee, and shoulder replacements—ligament reconstruction, surgical treatment of cartilage defects using the latest methods (Chondrotissue), and comprehensive musculoskeletal traumatology.
We wish both chief physicians every success in their new roles!
