Professor Jitka Abrahámová is one of the leading experts in the field of clinical oncology in the Czech Republic. In 1966, she successfully graduated from the Faculty of General Medicine at Charles University in Prague. She gradually built her career on a strong scientific foundation, as evidenced by her defense of her Candidate of Medical Sciences degree in 1985 and her subsequent habilitation in 1988 in the field of oncology. In 1990, she earned the prestigious title of Doctor of Medical Sciences, which cemented her position among the leaders of Czech medicine. Sixteen years later, in 2006, she was appointed professor of clinical oncology.
Throughout her distinguished career, she has devoted herself not only to treating patients but also to research and training new generations of oncologists. Prof. Abrahámová is the author or co-author of several specialized monographs, including the book *What You Should Know About Breast Cancer*. Over the course of her professional career, she has published more than 300 scholarly articles in prestigious domestic and international journals. Thanks to her expertise and extensive experience, she is respected not only by her colleagues but also by patients, who regard her as one of the leading experts in cancer treatment in the Czech Republic.
