Professor Rudolf Špaček is the Deputy Director for Curative and Preventive Care, Head of the Internal Medicine Department, and Acting Head of the Emergency Department at Na Františku Hospital.
He has been a faculty member at Charles University since 1991. In 2014, he was appointed professor of internal medicine there. At the Department of Internal Medicine at Na Františku Hospital, he teaches medical students from all three medical faculties of Charles University, trains physicians within the internal medicine residency program, and prepares physicians for board certification in internal and general medicine.
In his medical practice, he focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of patients with heart disease. In 2020, he was awarded the Charles University Silver Medal for his longstanding contributions to the field of cardiology and to undergraduate and graduate education.
