Healthcare Journal: Na Františku Hospital has established itself as a provider of acute care for Prague residents. An ambulance dispatch center will also be established there.

There was a risk that it would become a facility for follow-up care. However, Na Františku Hospital convinced health insurance companies that it plays an irreplaceable role in Prague’s acute care system. Joint plans with the emergency medical services are crucial. An emergency response base will be established at the hospital, which will work closely with the emergency department. Na Františku Hospital has also traditionally helped Prague care for the homeless. It aims to further develop in certain fields where it has high-quality staff and patient demand. It must also reduce its significant financial deficit. We spoke with the hospital’s director and head of the surgical department, David Erhart, about the challenges facing the hospital.
