The Department of Rehabilitation and Physical Medicinespecializes in the treatment of musculoskeletal disorders. It provides comprehensive rehabilitation care to both outpatients and inpatients. A trained team of physicians, physical therapists, occupational therapists, and nurses is involved in providing therapeutic and rehabilitative care. Their work is based on knowledge of modern treatment methods used for various musculoskeletal disorders.
Outpatient Rehabilitation
The department offers outpatient rehabilitation services, including physical therapy, occupational therapy, and physical therapy—electrotherapy, ultrasound and shockwave therapy, magnetotherapy, and laser therapy.
We would like to inform patients that, due to the long waiting list for outpatient rehabilitation, we are currently unable to accept any new patients for outpatient treatment.
Inpatient Rehabilitation
The Inpatient Department of Rehabilitation and Physical Medicine focuses on comprehensive rehabilitation care for patients with musculoskeletal disorders. A carefully selected combination of individualized physical therapy, occupational therapy, and physical therapy helps patients regain mobility and independence more quickly, enabling them to return to their daily lives sooner and with greater ease.
We admit patients to our rehabilitation program who are in a stable condition and able to actively participate in their treatment. The expected length of stay is 2–3 weeks.
Inpatient rehabilitation care builds on the orthopedic care provided to patients at Na Františku Hospital. It thus ensures comprehensive care for patients following orthopedic procedures. When capacity allows, our department also admits patients who are under the care of other healthcare facilities.
Admission Requirements for Inpatient Care
Admission to the Department of Rehabilitation and Physical Medicine at Na Františku Hospital is contingent upon approval ofa Proposal for Medical Rehabilitation Care at a Specialized Medical Facility. It is completed by the attending physician or general practitioner and, together with medical reports, is sent for approval to the reviewing physician of the relevant health insurance company. For patients transferred from the Orthopedic Department at Na Františku Hospital, this procedure is handled by the attending orthopedic physician. Hospitalization can only begin after the proposal has been approved, and the admission date is determined by the department’s current capacity.
The typical length of hospital stay for patients who have undergone hip replacement is 10 days, and for those who have undergone knee replacement, it is usually 14 days.
Appointments for hospital admission are scheduled on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Please call222 801 286. Thank you for your understanding.
