Arthroscopy is a minimally invasive surgical procedure used to examine, diagnose, and treat problems inside a joint.

During this procedure, the orthopedic surgeon inserts a small camera called an arthroscope into the joint through a small incision in the skin. The camera displays the inside of the joint on a monitor, allowing the surgeon to view joint structures such as cartilage, tendons, ligaments, and bones without having to make large incisions in the skin and joint tissues.

The current wait time for arthroscopic procedures at our clinic is 3–5 weeks from the patient’s first visit.

What types of arthroscopy do we perform?

  • treatment of musculoskeletal disorders and injuries in adult patients
  • We provide medical evaluations for planned orthopedic surgeries and arthroscopic procedures
  • We perform PRP plasma treatments for connective tissue and muscle injuries (when indicated)

Meniscus treatment (removal of the damaged portion or suturing, depending on the findings and the patient’s age)

Anterior and posterior cruciate ligament surgery, treatment and reconstruction of cartilage defects

The combination of arthroscopy with X-ray imaging performed directly in the operating room (e.g., during osteosynthesis)

Subacromial Decompression for Impingement Syndrome - treatment of painful pressure in the shoulder caused by friction of soft tissues—most commonly when raising the arm

Rotator Cuff Repair - suturing or strengthening the tendons in the shoulder that ensure movement and stability—often following an injury or overuse

Arthroscopic stabilization of the shoulder joint following recurrent dislocations or in cases of instability - joint reinforcement following a shoulder dislocation – prevents further “popping out” and restores stability

Diagnostic and therapeutic procedures for painful conditions, injuries, or limited mobility

Removal of loose bodies, treatment of cartilage, release of the joint capsule, etc.

Why Choose Us

Our team of doctors specializing in arthroscopic procedures is highly qualified and experienced. Most of them have completed fellowships and training at leading arthroscopic clinics around the world.

Thanks to their outstanding results and extensive experience, our doctors are also sought after as specialists by leading sports teams and the Czech Republic’s national teams, including the men’s, women’s, and youth national basketball teams, as well as first-division soccer clubs.

Another major advantage of our orthopedic department is the relatively short waiting times for scheduled procedures. We are able to achieve this thanks to efficient workflow management, effective coordination among our teams, and close collaboration with other hospital departments, particularly radiology, anesthesiology, and physical therapy. Thanks to this integrated approach, patients can go through the entire process—from initial diagnosis to postoperative care—smoothly and without unnecessary delays, allowing them to return to their normal lives more quickly.
