Project Objective

The goal of the project is to research and develop a comprehensive system that helps patients and visitors find their way around the hospital and keeps them informed throughout their treatment.

The project will be implemented through a PCP public procurement contract focused on the research and development of a comprehensive system designed to help patients and visitors navigate the hospital and keep them informed throughout their treatment.

In the first phase, a detailed needs analysis will be conducted, followed by the preparation of the request for proposals. In the second phase, five companies will develop technical solutions for a comprehensive navigation and information system for patients and visitors at Na Františku Hospital. The evaluation committee will select three contractors to proceed to the prototype development phase. In the third phase, the three contractors will work on creating the prototype. Subsequently, the evaluation committee will select one contractor to proceed to the testing of their prototype. In the final phase, the prototype will be tested at Na Františku Hospital, and the project will be evaluated.

As part of the project, user-friendly and clear physical and interactive wayfinding will be created for patients and visitors to the Na Františku Hospital campus. Patients will be informed about upcoming examinations and diagnoses.

Thanks to this project, patients and hospital visitors will gain access to a navigation and information system that will help them find their way around the hospital premises and better understand the entire treatment process. Since the goal is to create a personalized navigation system, it will be easier for people with limited mobility to move around the facility. People with serious diagnoses and seniors will be able to read information about their diagnosis from the comfort of their own homes. Patients will be informed about the course of treatment and any changes related to their hospital visit. Overall, the treatment process and course will be clearer, more convenient, and simpler for patients, thereby improving the quality of healthcare.
