Admission of Patients for Hospitalization

Admission for scheduled hospitalizations takes place at the admissions office (orthopedics, surgery) or at the emergency room (internal medicine).

Please arrive for your scheduled appointment at the time specified by your doctor and bring all necessary documents with you.

Specifically, these include:

  • ID card or passport (for foreign nationals)
  • valid health insurance card
  • all medicalrecords related to the planned hospitalization—such as preoperative test results, results of other relevant tests, medical reports, X-rays, etc.

Also, be sure to bring your everyday essentials(pajamas, a bathrobe, slippers, socks, a towel, toiletries, and toilet paper).

You can store large sums of money or valuables in the safe at the reception desk during your hospital stay. When leaving your room, lock your cell phones, tablets, and similar items in your nightstands, or leave them at the nurses’ station.

Providing Information About One's Health

You have the right to receive complete information about your health condition and the nature of your illness.

Your loved ones may also receive updates about your condition. When you are admitted, please let the doctor know which of your loved ones can be contacted. 

All hospital employees are bound by a duty of confidentiality under Act No. 101/2000 Coll., on the Protection of Personal Data, as amended.
